Pop-Up Museum for Selfie Lovers Set to Open From April to May

Who says selfies can't be art? Here is good news for selfie lovers who have a secret desire of taking selfies in museums. Though taking selfies with artworks or using selfie sticks are strictly prohibited in most museums, it is more than welcome in the Museum of Selfies, a new pop-up museum coming to Los Angeles soon.

Set to be open in a limited period from 1 April to 31 May, the Museum of Selfies is an interactive museum that explores the history of cultural phenomenon of the selfie. Many may wonder whether selfies deserve a museum. The museum justified its worthiness, "Over a million selfies are uploaded to social media every day. Whether you think they're the most amazing thing ever or the low point of human culture, selfies have a firmly-cemented place in our modern society, but also have roots going back to the most ancient and primal aspects of our species."

Visitors can explore the origin of the selfie through the lens of art, history, technology, and culture while taking some cool selfies of their very own with interactive installations, including a Game of Thrones-style Iron Throne made from selfie sticks, illustrations stimulating atop a skyscraper or floating in outer space.
