Classic Supreme Items From the Last Two Decades to Be Offered by Sotheby's

Supreme fans, it’s time to get your hands on unique Supreme collectibles and accessories! Sotheby’s will be holding an online sale titled The Supreme Vault: 1998-2018 in May at H Queen’s in Hong Kong. Official information of the lots has yet to be released but a teaser showing snippets of the lots has just come out, putting fans on the edge of their seats. Worry no more as we have gathered all the information you need to prepare for the sale.

Supreme x Fender Stratocaster guitar (2017 Fall Winter) 

 

The first item we identified is the Supreme x Fender Stratocaster guitar. Although the guiar is not shown in the video, we can clearly see “Fender” marked on one of the boxes. The Fender Stratocaster guitars are classic favourites of the music industry. Even Pink Floyd’s guitarist, David Gilmour, owns a guitar by the brand named “The Black Strat”. The guitar featured in this sale is a limited edition crossover from 2017 Fall Winter and some say that there are only 50 of them produced in total. Online second hand prices of the guitar range from US$4,500 - 10,000.

Supreme x Northface sleeping bag (2014 Fall Winter)

The second item shown in the video is a storage bag. Die hard supreme fans can tell that it’s not just any storage bag but the Supreme x Northface S/S 11 Dolomite Sleeping Bag. The sleeping bag comes in different editions with colours like camouflage, red, black etc. Online second hand prices are usually within US$1,000. This sleeping bag is the very product which led North Face into the fashion world.

Supreme x Coleman CT200U Mini Bike (2017 Spring Summer)

Coming up next is the Supreme x Coleman CT200U Mini Bike. This 2017 Spring and Summer item is a red-clad bike which offers specs like a 196cc one-cylinder four-stroke OHV engine, sturdy metal frame, 42-inch wheelbase, and a top speed of 24 mph. The retailed prices were reported to be somewhere between US$800 and US$1,000.

Supreme x Stern Pinball Machine (2018 Spring Summer)

This nostalgic Supreme Pinball Machine is a crossover of Supreme and Stern. When it was first released, there were only 100 of them, all sold out in only 6 minutes. Rumours say that the selling price was US$10,000 and you can find them for anything between US$5,800-8,000 now online.

Supreme x Everlast Punching Bag (2016 Spring Summer)

A star item from the sale is the 2016 Supreme x Everlast Punching Bag. This red leather bag comes with a chain and swivel assembly. Everlast is an American boxing brand that made its way into the fashion industry very early on. Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest boxers of all time, was also its fan.

Supreme Scarface "THE WORLD IS YOURS" Lamp (2017 Fall Winter)

This item featured is Supreme’s tribute to the movie "Scarface". In the movie, Tony, played by Al Pacino, was a Cuban refugee who became a drug dealer in Miami. “THE WORLD IS YOURS” statue by Supreme shows one of the most significant motifs in the film which marks Tony’s glory and misfortune. This phrase was originally shown on an airship in the movie, but became Tony’s most iconic saying which made a huge impact on his life.

The last shot in the teaser shows Supreme ashtrays, including a butterfly ashtray from the 2011 Fall Winter collection “SEE YOU IN HELL”, a Box Logo glass ashtray from the 2013 Spring Summer collection and a “HAVE A NICE DAY” ashtray from the 2015 Spring Summer collection.


Ttled “The Supreme Vault: 1998- 2018”, the sale will present items produced by Supreme over these 20 years. Will classics like the 1998 Supreme Keith Haring Dog Tee and the 2004 OG Kate Moss Tee appear? Sotheby’s will release official details on 8 May. We will keep you updated.
