Iconic Movie Scenes Reinterpreted by Mario and More

Collectable toy platform kkplus collaborates with Hong Kong-based toymaker Fools Paradise, to present its newest product launch in town.

From now until January 6, 2021, the pop-up exhibition features a series of familiar movie scenes depicted by Mario Bros characters, and local sensation Plastic Thing figurine set, as well as Fools Paradise original character Lowfool. With many of the new items showcased in larger-than-life toy packaging, and a dedicated glow-in-the-dark section displaying the special edition products, it’s time to unleash the inner child in you.

The exhibition runs from now until January 6, 2021

A dedicated section displaying the glow-in-the-dark items

To celebrate the occasion, kkplus is also giving away limited edition souvenirs including poker card sets, tote bags, and mask holders upon purchases

Some highlights of the launch include:

Super Run GID 2 | HK$2,950

Let Mario and Princess Toadstool reenact the classic scene from the movie “Forrest Gump.” The glow-in-the-dark version of Super Run is one of the hot-ticket items of the launch.

Super Professional | Tmall Original version (left): HK$1,780, Star-Power Up version (right): HK$1,980

Inspired by the classic movie “Léon: The Professional,” Mario, in his round sunglasses, is holding Petey Piranha and Bullet Bill in his hands.

Plastic Thing Tennis Baby figure set

With over 406K followers on Instagram, local illustrator Yan Ip’s Plastic Thing has become a social media phenomenon combining hilarious themes and exaggerated facial expressions. Following the previous Sexy Baby Original, the Tennis Baby figure set comes with a shopping bag and a pastel pink tennis ball.

XL Legendary Three King | HK$8,028

Paying tribute to the Bulls’ Iron Triangle, the Legendary Three are wearing sporty kicks inspired by Air Worm, Air Jordan 1 Bred, and Air More Uptempo.

Cat Father

The figurine reminds us of Garfield and the much-loved movie “Godfather.” Cat Father is sitting domineeringly on a chair with Odie’s head carved handrails carrying a kitten that looks like Hello Kitty.

I had a bad day

Believed to be a hybrid of Pinnocchio and Joker, the figurine is inspired by the absurdity of the world, and the idea of “the show must go on.”

Legend - Notorious

A new addition to the Legend collection of Fools Paradise, UFC champion Conor McGregor’s facial features, tattoos, and Irish green tights are all in meticulous detail.
