Spanish artist Joan Cornellà, best known for his unsettling, surreal humour and black humour artwork, has a new collaboration with AllRightsReserved following the success of their previous one. This time, he released a bronze figure sculpture entitled K-LOVE, which depicts North Korean leader Kim Jong-un with a finger heart. Only 15 editions are available, with a price tag of US$11,000 each. All figures were quickly sold out on the online store.

Joan Cornellà has gained global acclaim for his unique illustration style. His colourful work seems light-hearted and playful at first glance. However, viewers will be overwhelmed by the morbidness and unnerving nature upon further inspection. His work covers topics from unnatural connection to social media and masturbatory selfie culture to political topics such as abortion, addiction and gender issues.

Joan Cornellà enjoys international popularity on social media with over 2.6m followers. In recent years, he has held solo exhibitions in cities such as Hong Kong, Taipei and South Korea etc. Last September, he released a bronze sculpture entitled ‘SELFIE GUN’ in collaboration with AllRightsReserved. All 15 pieces were sold out rapidly for US$10,000 each. They soon released 1,000 pieces of 10-inch vinyl figure ‘SELFIE GUN’, valued at US$199 each, which were also very well-received among fans and collectors.

Following the success of their first collaboration, Joan Cornellà presents a new bronze sculpture ‘K-LOVE’, a figure of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un with a finger heart. The same image can be seen in the poster of his Seoul exhibition in 2018. A limited-edition of 15 pieces was made for this K-LOVE sculpture, signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. They were exclusively sold at Ding Dong Takuhaibin with a retail price of US$11,000 each. All 15 pieces were sold out soon after the sale started.
