HKIAF is going to take place from 26th to 29th May 2018 in Hall 5BC Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It gathers more than 70 dealers from different parts of the world, offering spectacular antiques pieces from both the East and West. To ensure the best selection of exhibits, exhibitors have to go through a strict vetting process imposed by the Vetting Committee, composed of renowned international professionals in all the specialties represented.

Over the past ten years, with the vision and mission of enhancing the public’s interest on antiques, IAF serves as a premier platform facilitating international cultural exchange between antiques enthusiasts, connoisseurs and the general public. This year, over 10,000 antiques pieces will be showcased at this four-day prestigious event.
A broad array of exquisite collectibles will be presented based on the theme of the year. One of the highlights of the 2018 Fair is “The Perfect Match - Boxes Exhibition”, sponsored by Tokyo Chuo Auction. Featuring nearly 200 boxes from different periods, the show illustrates a wide variety of delicately crafted boxes made of materials like porcelain, wood, bamboo, lacquer and stone.

Numerous events will take place during the fair. In additional to antiques appraisal and guided tours, there will be lectures given by prominent speakers in the fields. They are going to share insight on Chinese export porcelain, Chinese antiques furniture, Tibetan thangka, the development of Hong Kong Art Market, as well as Buddhist statues from the Ming dynasty.

IAF will open to public from 26 to 29 May. On 25 May, a charity VIP preview will take place with all proceeds raised from ticket sales will be donated without deducting any costs to the Po Leung Kuk Medical Assistance Fund-raising programme to support the medical needs of the elderly and the grassroots.
