BAYC is the NFT series that launched on April 30 this year. Apes are the central figures and uses computer algorithms to give different physical characteristics and clothing to generate 10,000 unique avatars.
Both the 101 Apes and 101 Kennels are sold collectively. Buying 101 Apes would mean that the new buyer would be the top three owners.
The winning bidder will become the recipient of three M1 and three M2 mutant serums, which allows them to generate a new Mutant Ape.
Sotheby’s will accept US dollars and cryptocurrency, such as Ethereum and Bitcoin in this sale.

High price
One of the selling points of NFT digital art is that it is based on the conclusion of smart contracts, so that every time the works are second-hand traded, the creator will automatically receive remuneration, usually 5-15% of the transaction amount.
The aforementioned marketing techniques have stimulated the market for the Apes and Kennels Collectible series. This also give owners more incentives to start, as creators and collectors can make money together and create a win-win situation.
This is the main reason why the Apes has a higher price than Kennels Collectible series.
Mutant Ape Yacht Club
New series are launched almost every day. In order to maintain the popularity of BAYC, the official recently launched a new series of Mutant Ape Yacht Club (referred to as MAYC).
The total number of mutant apes is 20,000. First, the official distribution of "mutant serum" to collectors of 10,000 Ape heads is free. As long as the collector pays the serum fee, they can use serum on his ape head to cast a new mutant ape.
There are three types of serum: M1, M2, and M3, which are distributed randomly. As shown in the figure below and using M1 or M2 serum, the mutant apes will inherit some of the features of the normal version. If it is M3 serum, mutant apes with completely different appearances will be generated. It is said that the chances of having rare features are higher.
